Our plastic driveway grid (also referred to as "gravel driveway grids") are produced entirely from recycled plastic right here in the USA. Each roll measures 3.97' by 149' and has hexagonal cells that are 1" tall and 2 ¼” wide. Because the cells are smaller, you may fill them more manageable angular stones. The stones should be thoroughly cleaned and range in size from 3/16" to 3/8". Additionally, the stabilizing rolls for the grid comply with ADA standards.

These grids are designed for gravel driveways even with a slope up to 10% grade. As a result, your driveway will have a great appearance and lots of traction for you and your guests to drive and walk on.


The grid is offered in four different colors: black, grey, tan, and red.
Stakes are also included with the roll.

The NDS EZ Roll is constructed from rigid, ultra-reinforced plastic fused to a geotextile fabric. This allows for easy roll-out installation and provides inherant strength. Other geocell based products rely on the actual gravel infill to provide the majority of the surface strengh. The NDS EZ Roll provides over 57,890 lbs / sq. ft. when empty, the gravel infill simply adds more strength to the already strong structure.

The Project - NDS Gravel Paver Offers Excellent Savings For Installation In The Plaza Area of SoFi Stadium

The Challenge – The Stadium required a cost-effective & inconspicuous Drainage Solution.

SoFi Stadium was the first ever built and was home to the Los Angeles Chargers and Rams and the first indoor/outdoor sports complex ever built. The project for the stadium started in 2016 and finished in 2020.

The stadium sits in the center of 300 acres of under developed land. During the designing of the plaza area, the main entrance gate and plaza are very close to each other, requiring a discreet drainage option for additional water runoff.

The Solution – NDS Gravel Pavers offered the architect and builder a low impact design for the project.

As the team worked on a tight schedule, it was decided to choose NDS EZ Roll Gravel Pavers to help out. EZ Roll Gravel Pavers are an absorbent paving solution that is often used for low impact development site designs to reduce impenetrable cover and the runoff of stormwater. NDS EZ Roll pavers are leaders on the market when it comes to compressive strength and are able to handle E20 traffic loads before filling with stone. The strength of the system's strength comes from the nested hexagonal cells, Typar backing, and steel anchors.

The product is attractive, inexpensive, and lasts a long time in comparison to traditional paving. It's applied as a 4' x 149' long roll to reduce installation time. For this project, 20 rolls of GP4-150 pavers were installed as per the engineers' requirements and then filled with 3/8-inch semi-angular stones in order to complete the plaza area.

The Impact – The impenetrable gravel surface was not only attractive but saved on costs.

The NDS EZ Roll gravel pavers were set up in time at all by offering a savings on labor costs for the installation versus the cost for other pavers. The pavers also helped maintain a specific look to the stadium while still allowing absorbency.

A New Orleans Hotel Used NDS EZ Roll Gravel Pavers To Prevent Runoff & Meet The Regulations

The Challenge – The hotel lot needed a paver system that would meet city requirements

The St. Vincent Hotel is a completely restored historic building, located in the center of New Orleans in the Lower Garden District. Restoration was carried out to reduce stormwater runoff with a new absorbent parking area. The problem was finding a pavement system that would withstand wear and tear caused by guests vehicles and delivery trucks. It had to be ADA compliant and meet stormwater regulations set by the city a few years earlier.

The Answer – They chose NDS Roll Gravel Pavers to handle the loads and regulations required on the project.

Palmisano Construction was awarded the project. They worked closely with a local distributor who recommended NDS EZ Roll Graven Paver as a better solution for the project.

NDS EZ Roll Graven Paver is known for its durability, excellent performance, and low cost. The system provided a 20 to 25% reduction in labor in comparison to the traditional panel systems because the rolls are already assembled for easy installation. The construction team installed 5,100 sq ft of GP4X150 and noticed how the bonded Tapar geotextile backing fabric stopped the gravel from working through the pavers and the base.

As noted, competitive paver systems that do not have backing could cause the pavers to lift leading to unsightly, hazardous obstruction issues. On the other hand, NDS paver systems will remain in place and will meet the ADA's maneuverability performance requirements of ASTM F 1951-09b. NDS EZ Roll is one of the strongest gravel paving systems that can handle the weight of guest vehicles as well as delivery trucks. When filled with specified semi-angular gravel over 500,000 lbs it will create a compressive strength per sq ft that will exceed AASHTO H20 highway loading qualities and not add to stormwater runoff. Also, NDS EZ Marker Grass & Gravel Delineators were used by the construction team to outline the parking stalls and add the final touches on the lot. Along with white, these delineators are available in safety yellow, handicap blue, and red for fire lanes.

The Impact – ES Roll systems exceeded regulatory requirements while reducing the cost for installation.

The construction team was pleased with the outcome of the product because it saved them time and money in comparison to competitive products. The parking lot featured an attractive sustainable alternative to traditional paving and absorbency while still meeting the necessary ADA and stormwater regulations.

The United Auburn Indian Community

The Challenge – Creating a community roadway that would reduce runoff and avoid bioswale installation while remaining functional.

Located in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Auburn, CA, the United Auburn Indian Community serves the Miwok and Maidu Indian tribes. The center sits on 10-acres for the community to offer economic development, education, and philanthropy. At some point, the council needed a better roadway made of gravel for easier travel between their facilities. The engineers were faced with several problems including the fact that the land sat on a grade. The engineers looked into gravel pavers as a solution that would not require a bioswale.

The Solution – Using gravel pavers could reduce slopes allowing accessibility to land.

Bioswales are designed to move stormwater runoff while removing debris and pollution. While bioswales are beneficial for rejuvenating groundwater, they take up a great deal of land and once installed, all opportunities to use the land for anything else outside of drainage would be off limits.

The council's concern was to avoid having another bioswale as one was already installed a year earlier. The in-house NDS engineer worked with Cook Engineering to figure out if the gravel pavers by NDS could work with the land's current incline. After a great deal of research to determine what would be necessary for installing NDS EZ Roll GP4x150, NDS suggested adjusting the slope from 9% to 4% to meet the specifications and avoid having to install another bioswale.

Once the grade was reduced, 34,000 sq ft of gravel pavers were installed using 12-inch spikes along the twisting road. By using multiple joints the team was able to account for the curving road along with using a roto-hammer to drive the spikes into the aggregate base and hold them in place. A continuing section of geotextile fabric offered the strength to hold the gravel in place. The fabric is porous enough allowing for filtering stormwater runoff and decrease the demands on the landscape drainage system.

The Impact – A working roadway with excellent erosion control

Using EZ Roll Gravel Pavers after reducing the slope, allowed for other land to be used while still minimizing erosion and keeping the look and functionality of a gravel road without having to resort to bioswale. Made with 100% recyclable materials, the EZ Roll Gravel Pavers were a long-term solution for minimizing surface water runoff and offering an attractive, sustainable outcome in comparison to a traditional asphalt or concrete roadway.
